“Netflix and Chill” has become a ubiquitous term in internet culture, carrying a meaning of its own that has very little to do with binge-watching TV shows. Rotimi taps into this phenomenon with a song named after the meme.
The sultry joint has G-Unit member Rotimi using his crooning voice to describe what his “Netflix and Chill” session entail in great detail. He describes his inspiration for the track simply, saying, “I wanted to write a fun song about that Saturday night call you get to come over for some ‘Netflix and Chill.’”
